New Alphaville record

New Alphaville record

The new Alphaville record – Eternally Yours – is OUT NOW!
And I am stoked to announce I did the orchestral edits on ‘Summer In Berlin’ and ‘Sounds Like A Melody’. The album features 17 symphonic versions of Alphaville songs played by the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg and has been produced by Christian Lohr, who a.o. worked with Sting, one of my biggest influences.
I met Christian as a guest teacher at the Conservatory of Haarlem and last January he asked me to do a few edits for the new Alphaville album. Of course I said yes! Little did I know I was going to work with an orchestra I have been listening to for years on three Rammstein albums…
Never having done this kind of job before, it has been a tough ride, but listening to an orchestra of this stature really was an astonishing experience; (almost) addictive! It definitely is one of the coolest projects I have worked on so far!
Thanks, Christian for this chance, Hans Hafner and Hubi Hofmann for helping out and working together and last but not least Carlo van der Put for the beautiful arrangements!
